Can I bring my dog?
Do I need to get a ticket for my child?
Children from the age of 12 and up do need a ticket. Partout tickets can be bought at a reduced price, while daytickets are the same price no matter the age.
As a disabled person I need a companion. Is it possible to get a discount?
The NC area is accessible for visitors with disabilities or special needs. Please contact info@nm2024.dk regarding special tickets or any other detailed questions, we are happy to help!
I am staying in the city center of Herning – how can I get to the Championships?
You can take the car, there are good parking possibilities directly at the fair grounds or take the bus.
There is also a local busline (nr. 6) driving every 60 min. from Herning Station to MCH. The ride takes 15 minuts.
Furthermore there is a trainstation (Herning Messecenter Station) in walking distance from the Championships.
How do I get to the competition grounds by car?
To get onto the competition grounds from the motorway E45, drive off at 42 and right at Vardevej (12), then right at Messevej 184 and through gate 21.
Is there enough seating for everybody on the stands?
There should be ebough space for everybody, but we do recommend to bring a blanket or a camping chair, if you have the possibility to do so. There is both a covered wooden tribune and some uncovered plateau tribunes, where you can put your camping chair or just sit directly on the stands. Of course it is also possible to just sit on your camping chairs or blankets along the tracks.

The Nordic Championships for Icelandic horses will be held in Herning, Denmark from 8.-11. August. It’s gonna be the best Icelandic horses in the north in both Sport and gæðingakeppni.

The organisation commitee behind the NM2024 has a lot of experience in competitions and events for Icelandic horses.
The project manager of NC 2024 is Lisa la Cour Júlíusson. She is one of the organizers and the competition leader behind the Aros Gait Event. She is the organizer and competition leader of many big World Ranking Events in Denmark, throughout the years. She is also a member of the Sports Commitee in The Danish Icelandic horse Association (DI).
The leader of the secretary and competition is Trine Winther. She has been organizing competitions for approx. 20 years. Organizer in Saga Svendborg both DRL and WR.
She is a part of the secretariat of the Icehorse Festival and has organized a number of Danish Championships both in Herning and in Svendborg, as well as competition leader for these. Been part of the secretary of WC since 2017.
On an everyday basis Trine works with quality assurance of medical equipment.
Anders Kajhøj Hansen is the chairman of DI Sports Commitee and Chairman and competion leader of many WRL competions and other events for the club Ganti. Anders will be in charge of Sponsors and Exhibitors
Stine Sandahl who is going to be in charge of communication and PR has also many years of experience and have done World Championships in 2015 and 2021, Nordic championship i 2024, World Toelt and is one of the founders of the indoor World Ranking event Icehorse Festival in Herning. Stine has her own graphic design company and a small studfarm Haarbygaard Hestar.
Andreas Hejndorf is our technical wizard, and makes everything from sound to livestream work, so other’s don’t have to worry about it. He has many years of experience from competitions in the local club Tvistur, several Danish Championships, Icehorse Festival and World Championships, and is the man behind icecompass.com In civil he works with online software for rankings and competition management
