It is with great pleasure and honour that the organizers of The Nordic Championship 2024 finally can announce the full teams of judge that will judge The Nordic Championship 2024 in Herning this summer. The selection procedure of the judge teams is made according to the “Manual and Guideline of The Nordic Championship”, provided by the Nordic Icelandic Horse Corporation, NIHC.
Gædingakeppni
In gædingakeppni the total number of judges on the team is 5. Each participating country may suggest a judge, but the final decision is made by the organizers.

Valdimar M. Ólafsson from Iceland.
Valdimar is landsdómara and will be both judging and the head of judges in Gædingkeppni. Valdimar is chosen by the organizing country.

Mathilde Hjort from Norway, landsdómara and chosen by Norway
Nina Bergholt from Sweden, landsdómara and chosen by Sweden
Amalie Haubo-San Pedro from Denmark, landsdómara and chosen by Denmark
Sport
In sport the total number of judges are 10 plus a non-judging head of judges.
According to the manual, each of the 6 participating countries may choose a judge for the judging team in sport. The last four remaining judges and the head of judges are chosen by the organizing country.
This year the organizers have chosen to do the selection of the last 4 judges and the head of judges upon 6 criteria.
The decision was made with the purpose to protect and develop upon the quality of the Nordic Championship in which the qualification of each judge plays an important role.

Stefan Hackauf from Germany. Stefan will not be judging but instead perform the role as head of judges. Stefan Hackauf is chosen by the organizing country.
